TRESPASS (Part One)

The rain poured down with a heavy rush against the roof of the bus and the sound deafened.

I took a quick glance at my time piece again making it the tenth time I had done that in the past 5 minutes. The conductor in the bus kept staring at me with what looked like a smile. Did he think I was in the mood for small talks? If he had known how much I was looking for someone to slap on the face that very minute. I'm in the middle of nowhere  stuck in a bus that wouldn't move because of the rain and in a state I had never been to before. Who smiles in such a situation?
I was supposed to be in Enugu, in my Aunt's house by that time but some how I still found myself in that bus. I had not even started the journey to Enugu. It was all because of this ajayi hang out that I did. And now calls wouldn't leave my phone.. calls I would not pick.

I live in Awka with my parents and siblings. My Dad had just gotten a new job and so we had to relocate to Awka. I had just come back home from the university after the semester exams and I'd been bored at home. It's so tiring being the only one at home when everyone else is either at work or at school. And so I began to seek for a place to go. I got talking with my favorite aunt and she had invited me to come over to her place at Enugu. I told my parents and they agreed. I was so elated. Fun was coming through for me after all. It took me just two days to get prepared for the journey. A day to the day I was to leave, we heard that the transport companies in Awka had gone on a strike action for issues they had with the state government. I was only left with the option of going to Onitsha and them from Onitsha to Enugu because the transport companies in Onitsha were not part of the strike action. My parents suggested I waited for the companies in Awka to resume but I refused. How could I wait some more days? Besides no one knows how long this strike action would last. I told them I would go to Onitsha and then proceed to Enugu. I was no longer a child. They reluctantly agreed to my plan.

On my bed that night as I tried to sleep, Dona called me. He has been asking me to be his girlfriend for some time now but I have not accepted neither have I declined; reasons beings that I don't even know if I like him or love him or none of them. I told Dona of my travel the next day to Enugu and he begged to see me before I go since I will be gone for over a month. After much pleading, I agreed to meet with him by 1pm.

By the morning, my parents were set for work and asked when I'd be leaving home. I told them I'd leave home before 1pm.  My Dad insisted that I left by 12 before he left. It was almost 12pm and I began to get ready. It was 12:40 when I left the house and it took me about 15 minutes to get to where I would meet Dona. I had called him and he said he was also on his way. I met Dona at the bar of the hotel where we talked or rather I listened. I never had what to say to him.

Hang on right here for part two

"....WE SCREAM AT EACH OTHER THEN WE SIT AND TALK ABOUT WHERE IT HURTS " the Amokas share after 31 Years of Marriage

Knowing the right one for you and working it out is one very dillematic condition. But having someone who has been there tell you how it goes and works is really an escape. It has been a 31 year journey of purpose, resolution and commitment for these two, Mr and Mrs Amoka. To mark their 31st marriage anniversary, they took to a little interview, to share their journey experience and testimony.  For the singles this is going to be a guide, for young couples this is going to be a checklist. Why not we have a thrill. So here we go! Who made the first move when it all started and how was the initial response? Mr Amoka:  I made the first move. She said she’d pray about it and I had to keep following up, asking how far? What was the key quality you looked out for when choosing a spouse, and what would you advice young people to look out for in their search? Mr Amoka : For me, it was spirituality. I looked out for a true believer who was clearly committed to God and His work....

"He Was The Nicest Man Ever....After He Raped me I Didn't Know Where To Begin" : A True Story Anonymously shared.

Hello friends....how did the weekend go? Mine was fine. Had not a single place to go to. Maybe somewhat boring. Sorry I had nothing up here through out. It was due to one thing or the other. So thanks to God it's a new week and a new slate to begin on. One of the things I'll be bringing before us today is the issue of sexual harassment. Sexual harassment is defined as unwelcomed sexual advances, request for favour and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature when submission is a condition affecting academic or employment decisions. We can then say that sexual harrasment can come from a superior to the subordinate like in teacher to student, master to slave. Subordinates are often times being thrown into this dilemma by their superiors and its even more so because they are going to be at the lossing side. Owing to this, superiors hold these subordinates to victimize them or keep them at ransom because they really have no much choice. Before us today i...
